DESIGN

The Xiomi 12T Pro, despite being a high-end cell phone, is quite light and can be used with one hand. This one carries measurements of 163.1 x 75.9 x 8.6 mm with 205 grams that are not felt for anything in the world.

On your screen we can find the fingerprint reader which tends to be fast. Likewise, in its surroundings we can find aluminum material that give it a touch of elegance. It also has the classic volume buttons, the power on and off, and the NanoSIM slot.

Now let’s move to the back, this is glass, but unlike enjoying a lot of brightness, it tends to be nuanced so that fingerprints do not permeate. In it we see a camera module that does not protrude too much from the body, so there are no swings if you place it on the table.

Its front area is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, although it is good that you should always put a protective lens. In the same way we have a hole where the front camera is stored and somewhat thin bezels in the lower and upper area.

SCREEN

The smartphone sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, which gives you fairly sharp colors powered by HDR10+. A positive aspect is that the Xiaomi 12T Pro has 900 nits of automatic brightness, so you will not have problems viewing your notifications when you are outside.

Regarding image quality, the Xiaomi 12T Pro can provide 60 frames in 4K since it carries 1220 x 2712 pixels in resolution. Likewise, its hole in the screen does not bother anything in the world, on the contrary, the display makes it lose itself in every way, something that other brands are already applying to their terminals.

What you do have to take into account is that it has a 120 Hz refresh rate, which makes the movements of the animations faster, but that does not prevent fingerprints from sticking to the protection of the Corning Gorilla Glass. 5.

PROCESSOR AND PERFORMANCE

The Xiaomi 12T Pro has MIUI 13 fully updated with Android 12 from the factory, and it is one of the cell phones that may receive the first Android 13 before the end of the year. Also the smartphone does not generate any stumble when opening applications or closing them.

The device also comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which gives it versatile features. In the terminal we find 8 GB of RAM, which can be expanded to 3 GB more, thus obtaining 11 GB. In the same way we have 256 GB of internal storage and, despite the fact that it does not have a tray for an external memory, it is more than enough.

On the subject of games, we were able to test Genshin Impact and the truth is that the graphics are usually quite fast. There is a good response when launching any type of power, there is even speed when you execute some touches without the classic phantom pulsations standing out.

In the Fortnite theme we have epic graphic quality, but at 30 frames per second. If you set it to 60 frames, the maximum resolution will be the high resolution. Of course, it is always good to download all the components of the game since otherwise the annoying lag will appear.

CAMERAS

Xiaomi 12T Pro brings a triple camera led by a 200 megapixel lens, while the 120-degree ultrawide lens is followed by 8 megapixels, as well as the macro 2 megapixels.

The main lens performs by capturing quite a bit of detail. When shooting, which takes a little longer to process than usual, it can give you good lighting balance, as well as warmth and not too much contrast.

The colors are usually not bright, but that will depend on whether or not you activated HDR. In the same way, you have a scene detector to have greater richness in saturation and tonalities.

On the other hand, it should be noted that if you want to use the 200 megapixel camera, by obtaining more information in an image, it can weigh around 200 MB, so it is always better to place those photos in the cloud.

In the ultrawide theme, it has a viewing angle of 120 degrees, thus obtaining a greater field. But yes, the detailed change of the main camera is noticeable when going through the ultra wide angle. There is a certain level of darkness even when you are at full zenith, so you have to turn until you find that correct brightness.

On the subject of the macro, well, this adjusts quite well when we approach a certain object. It works in conjunction with the main lens, but as long as it is in automatic mode with its 50 megapixels.

On the subject of selfies, it has a balanced contrast, without too much falsehood or some type of filter that ends up taking an image of what it really is not. There is good delineation of the photo when you want to blur the background through software, but yes, it is always good to have lighting in between to be able to capture improvements in your self-portrait.

DRUMS

The Xiaomi 12T Pro has a 5000 mAh battery, more than enough with the possibility that you can count on a day and a half of continuous use as long as you use 60 Hz, but if you activate 120 Hz your cell phone may only have 8 hours of life.

The device charges with a 120 W plug, which is included in the box. With this, you can have the smartphone at 100% in less than 20 minutes, while in 7 minutes you will already enjoy 50%.

CONCLUSIONS

  • The Xiaomi 12T Pro has a fairly well-made screen. Enjoy naturalistic and strong colors when viewing your content in high quality.
  • The performance of the device is correct, except for cases where you can see certain lags as long as you leave more than 10 apps running in the background.
  • The photos are good in detail, but without a tray to expand the external memory, you may not use it for everything.
  • The Xiaomi 12T Pro is priced in Peru at 2,999 soles on the Xiaomi page.
