Wan-Bissaka: One of United’s biggest mistakes is confirmed

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be remembered as another failed Glazer-era signing at Manchester United. LHe bequeathed in 2019 from Crystal Palace for 55 million euros and, although he started out performing well, his progression has stopped short and even his performance has plummeted.

The Anglo-Congolese has been losing prominence, to the point where he has only played four minutes in all competitions so far this season. His contract, which lasts until 2024, mortgages a United that sees it very difficult to recover some of the investment they made for him in his day.

On the sporting level, Diogo Dalot has established himself as the undisputed right back, but Erik ten Hag’s team is looking for a replacement for him. According to DailyMaihe, Norwich’s Max Aarons could be on the shortlist. The young English side, by the way, He was in the past in the orbit of Barcelona. Another alternative pointed out by the English press for that right flank is Jeremy Frimpong. The Dutchman, at 21, has established himself as one of the great promises of the Bundesliga and has half of Europe following in his footsteps. He has a contract until 2025, so it does not seem like an easy task to get him out of Bayer Leverkusen.

Regarding Wan-Bissaka, a possible return to Crystal Palace was already rumored in the summer, which could come in the form of a loan. At 24, he is still a young footballer with room for growth. That was the main reason why United pushed so hard for him and why he was called up by the England under-21 team (he has never made it to the senior team). The last train may not have passed for him yet, but everything indicates that the Manchester United man lost it a long time ago…
