Two Chileans go to Fluminense

During this afternoon, O’Higgins made official a negotiation that had been taking place a few weeks ago. Starting this season, Nicolás Matamoros and Felipe Ogaz will go to Fluminense on loan.

The ‘Tricolor Carioca’ scouting team had been following both players since the ‘Capo de Provincia’ participated this year in the Xerem Cup and, after initiating talks in December, they obtained two assignments.

Both players will be part of the Fluminense Under 20 teamwhich during the 2022 season played in Serie A of the Brasileirao and won the Carioca Championship of the category.

Now, the Sub 20 team of ‘Flu’ is participating in Copinha 2023 and although the Chileans will not be able to participate (because the registrations closed in December), they will be available in case the first team needs youth players in the first dates of the state tournament.

Matamoros and Ogaz, who will not go with the Red to the South American Under 20 despite having participated in the process, will be this season in the Laranjeiras team, which reserves a preferential option in the purchase of passes.
