The meeting between Prince Harry and Carlos III: he begged his father not to marry Camilla Parker because he was afraid of her

Another of the controversies of the book “En la sombra”, which will be published on January 10is that Harry “begged” King Charles III not to marry Camilla Parker.

Both he and his brother, Prince William, would have told their dad that they would welcome Camilla into the family, but they asked him not to marry her, calling her “the other woman.”

“I remember wondering (…) if she would be cruel to me, if she would be like all the wicked stepmothers in the stories,” Harry wrote.

He also compared the moment he met her to the feeling of receiving an injection. “Close your eyes and you won’t even feel it,” she wrote, according to Mail Online and The Sun.

On the other hand, the book also says that King Carlos III tried for her to “win over the children” before publicly presenting her as his fiancée.

And because of that, Harry had a private audience with Camilla where she was supposedly “bored”. The Duke of Sussex wrote that he was too young to suspect of his father’s affair.

However, William “harbored suspicions” for a long time. “They confused and tormented him (…). When they confirmed it, he felt terrible remorse for not having said or done anything sooner,” Harry wrote.

He added: “Willy had suspected the other woman for a long time.” The Duke of Sussex added that as a child he felt “the lack of stability, the absence of love and affection” at Buckingham Palace.
