A couple of weeks ago Konami excited fans of the world of video games by pledge that during the 2022 edition of the Tokyo Games Show it would announce a new game from a series “loved around the world”.
Speculation as to what this announcement might entail multiplied for days, but was finally resolved this Friday when Konami announced news for the Suikoden saga.
During its presentation at the Tokyo Games Show 2022, Konami revealed that it will release remastered versions of Suikoden I and II in 2023.
This title which will be known as Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune & Dunan Unification Wars It will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
According to ad, the improvements of this remaster will include visual updates of the characters and environments, other gameplay improvements such as “access to dialogue, auto battle, double speed battles”. In fact, the game’s page on Steam says that it will have:
- New ambient sound effects
- Battle SFX are now HD too and add a new level of realism
- auto save
- Battle Fast Forward
- conversation log
In that sense, one of the most striking elements of this update is that both Suikoden titles will have texts in Spanish and English apart from Japanese.
But that’s not all, because in parallel to the previous announcement trailer you can see a close-up of the remaster’s gameplay here:
