The video game developer Square Enix has registered a trademark called Symbiogenesis, which could refer to one of its most successful sagas, Parasite Eve, made up of three installments.
Parasite Eve is a series of horror and action games for the Sony PlayStation console, created by the Japanese development studio and based on the homonymous novel written by Hideaki Sena, published in 1995.
The Square Enix saga is made up of three games. The first of them was published in 1998 in the Asian market, while the second, from 1999, did reach Europe and North America. The third installment was released in Japan in December 2010 as The 3rd Birthday.

According to him registration document, that only the name of the brand is revealed, the request was made on October 13, but it has not been made public until this Monday, October 24. For its part, Square Enix has not made reference to this parallelism.
