Porsche releases an ‘American’ 911 Carrera

Porsche Latin America and Porsche Mexico surrender tribute to the Carrera Panamericana and the first Porsche to cross the finish line in this competition, a Porsche 356 S Cabriolet with number 11.

Porsche and the Carrera Panamericana are so strongly linked than stuttgart mark It owes the names Carrera and Panamera to the legendary Mexican rally. In honor of the first Porsche to cross the finish line in this event, a Porsche 356 S Cabriolet driven by Prince Paul Alfons von Metternich and Baron Manuel Antônio de Teffé, Porsche Latin America and Porsche Mexico commissioned Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur to customize a unique model in the world: the Porsche 911 Carrera Panamericana Special, which has been revealed shortly before the start of the 35th edition of the famous competition’s ‘modern era’.

Based on the Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet

the porsche 911 Race Pan American Special is based on a 911 (type 992) Carrera S Cabriolet rear wheel drive from year 2022. The most striking of its exterior design is the canvas top in Graffiti gray and the engine hood grille in white.

An element that draws particular attention are the Turbo design wheels, 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, which are hand-painted in Gentian blue metallic, with the central part in grey. This combination matches the body color and is reminiscent of the rims on the 356 S Cabriolet from 1952. The brake calipers are enameled black and not the traditional red.

Another reference to the original model is found in the upper part of the windshield, where there is a sticker with a black background with the Porsche name in white, similar to the inscription used by the Prince of Metternich and Baron Teffé on the trunk lid of the 356. On the doors, the new model bears the Carrera Panamericana shield, where the 356 wore the emblem of the National Automobile Association (ANA).

In the passenger compartment of the 911 Carrera Panamericana Special, its Adaptive Sport Plus seats (18 positions) in Crayon gray leather, with piping and the historic helmet of the Carrera Panamericana embroidered on the headrests in Graphite blue. The door panels are also coated in Crayon Grey.
