The UC is remodeling the San Carlos de Apoquindo stadium to turn it into one of the most modern venues in Chilean soccer and expand its capacity. However, currently the works have focused on dismantling the facilities, in order to renovate them.
The “Cruzado” painting itself revealed the images of how the main field of the Las Condes coliseum is located, which looks worn and brown because it will be changed in its entirety.
Also, the UC showed the state of the galleries of San Carlos de Apoquindothose that have been removed to be replaced by armchairs, that is, you only see pieces of wood with embedded screws.
While, the main board of the foothills enclosure will also be updated and right now it doesn’t even have a screen, so all you can see is the facade of the “Crusaders” home game scoreboard.
The Catholic University expects to have San Carlos de Apoquindo in optimal conditions for the first semester of 2024so they have to look for a stadium to host next season, where they will face the National Championship and the Copa Sudamericana.
