It’s now or never to refuel. From Wednesday, the rebate of 30 cents offered by the State on a liter of fuel will drop to only 10 cents. On the same day, the planned discount at Total stations will decrease from 20 to 10 cents. So many motorists take advantage of the latest advantageous rates.

Motorists are rushing to fill up. And for good reason, from Wednesday, the rebate of 30 cents offered by the State on the liter of fuel will drop to only 10 cents. On the same day, the planned discount at Total stations will decrease from 20 to 10 cents.

“It’s hard to make ends meet”

“I fill up simply because they have increased and I think I am not the only one”, confides a motorist at the microphone of Europe 1. “There are a lot of people who will do like me. And 20 cents is important. It’s hard to make ends meet. And then the gasoline budget takes a lot of the budget food and we are careful now”.

“We have no choice, we have to keep driving”

“I admit it’s very expensive,” added another motorist. “We are at 1.89 euros per liter I believe, sometimes 2 euros. There, it’s complicated to fill up, we’re not going to lie to each other. I don’t really understand why they want to increase prices”.

Many motorists have resigned themselves. “These last few weeks, I have seen a substantial drop in gasoline prices. It was interesting for our wallet”, underlines one of them on Europe 1. “Now we do not have the choice. You have to keep driving, keep going to work. But indeed, if I benefit from a preferential rate for a few more days, so much the better”, he concludes.
