The mayor of Vicuña Rafael Vera Castillo highlighted that the Mamalluca planetarium was built with purely municipal resources, “we believe that this investment is tremendously important, and that it precisely helps something that is so important, education, the training of people, How many children from rural areas and from the center of the city, when they have sat there in that planetarium, probably in their heads those images, that vision that they have achieved, will accompany them for the rest of their lives, and they will probably be teachers of sciences, astronomers, physicists, probably some of them are going to be excited about a career that they would never have dreamed of if they had not entered the planetarium”.
Remember that this project, developed by the company “Evans & Sutherland, has high-quality technology, 4K images, as well as 72 seats equipped with reclining backrests in different degrees.
