The executive director of Inter Milan, Giuseppe Marottaclarified his statements about Arturo Vidal, where he had expressed that the Chilean midfielder “was undisciplined” and a “man with a double life.”
In an interview with La Tercera, Marotta, who in 2011 took the ‘King’ to Juventus and then to Inter Milan, said that “Arturo Vidal is an excellent player, he is not a bad guy. He is a great champion. I have great affection for him, I have known him for a long time.”
“What happens is that he is a person who remains very active off the field of play, he has a different personality from the common athletes, but in no way did I want to say that he has a double life”Marotta noted.
“It happened that the journalist’s question was poorly posed and the answer was misrepresented. I wanted to say that he was a very special player, but not something negative.”he pointed.
The manager explained that “I have great trust and a long-term affectionate relationship. That’s why I allow myself to talk about him. He is a true warrior on the court, a great competitor. If what I said was misunderstood, I retract what came out in the interview.
Vidal’s response
Arturo Vidal responded with two stories to Giuseppe Marotta’s clarification. In one of those publications, the Flamengo star wrote: “Now no rat talks.”
