Gustavo QuinterosColo Colo technician, was punished with two dates of suspension by the Disciplinary Court of the ANFPdue to his criticism of the referee Fernando Véjar.

The sanction must be fulfilled in the following two matches of the National Championshipfrom the date of notification of this judgment.

Colo Colo’s next two matches are against nublenseon Monday, February 6 at the Monumental Stadium, and against Huachipatoon Sunday February 12 in Talcahuano.

This ruling was not unanimous, since three members of the First Chamber of the Disciplinary Tribune (Franco Acchiardo, Carlos Aravena and Santiago Hurtado) they wanted the punishment for Quinteros to be four dates.

The complaint was made for his statements against Véjar after the Chilean Super Cup against Magallanes, noting that the judge had a partial performance “charging on purpose against Colo Colo”. In addition, the report points out that there was public pressure on the arbitrator so that he no longer directed the white team, statements that were recognized by Quinteros himself at the hearing before the Court.

Finally, the sanction was determined by article 63, letter B, number 11 of the Code of Procedures and Penalties, which penalizes “putting pressure on the referee or assistant referees, through violent attitudes, threats and in general disturbing in any way the freedom of the arbitrator to make or not a certain decision”.
