During this Friday morning, Dani Alves, Brazilian soccer player, was arrested by the Catalan police after arriving in Spain. The Brazilian appeared at the Mossos d’Esquadra police station in Les Corts, where he was transferred to the Ciutat de la Justícia. The complainant was transferred to the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona after being treated at the nightclub where the events occurred, receiving care from the security of the venue. Subsequently, they were made medical examinations following the protocol that is practiced for all women who suffer from sexual assault. Two days later, he decided file the complaint, which initiated the investigation against Alves.
Reportedly, the complainant accuses that the player hit her and abused her in the bathroom. In her statement, the woman states that once she was able to get out of the bathroom, she went into shock and burst into tears. At that time, the security of the compound assisted the woman. The medical report that was subsequently made to him at the hospital included injuries to his body, coinciding with the version recounted by the complainant..
It should be remembered that, previously, Dani Alves had gone to the Spanish program “Y Ahora Sonsoles” to defend himself against the accusations. On that occasion, he denied the complainant’s version and stated that: “I was there, in that place, with more people enjoying themselves. Without invading the space of others. I’m very sorry, but I don’t know who that lady is.”
