CD Projekt Red announces a remake of The Witcher

Good news for all fans of The Witcher and that is that during the day this Wednesday from CD Projekt Red they announced that A remake of the first installment is in development, which will be made in Unreal Engine 5.

As they announced the game is in its early stages of development and is being made by the Polish studio Fool’s Theory. Some of the saga’s veterans are involved in the project, while CD Projekt Red will act as supervisor.

“The Witcher Remake is what you may know by the code name “Canis Majoris”. It’s still early days and we want to make sure the game is created with the utmost care and attention to detail, so while we’re excited to share the news with you, we want to ask for your patience as it will be a while before we start talking about it. this project in detail”, they pointed out from the developer.

On the other hand, Adam Badowski, director of the studio mentioned that “The Witcher is where it all started for us, for CD PROJEKT RED. It was the first game we made, and it was a great moment for us so to come back to this place and remake the game for the next generation of players to experience feels just as big, if not bigger.”
